Is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome only contagious in Canada?

Something strange is happening. In America two scientists seem to be bending over backwards to say that Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is not contagious. Dr. Jose Montoya insists on that in this interview. Dr. Michael J. Goldberg, who writes about Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and autism as though they are part of the same epidemic, turns himself into a pretzel as he argues they are not contagious in his book The Myth of Autism.

 But in Canada according to a press release from Millions Missing Canada, "Unreleased data from the 2015 Canadian Community Health Survey indicates ~560,000 Canadians have been diagnosed with the complex neuro-immune disease, myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), representing an apparent 37.6% increase in ME prevalence over the previous year." (Press release here.)

 What is going on? Is it contagious and spreading in Canada, but not contagious and not spreading in America?

 Is it because the Canadian microbiome is different? Canadians are genetically inferior? Americans have superior microbiomes and genetics?

When a Canadian moves to America does their CFS cease to be contagious and when an American moves to Canada does it suddenly become transmissible?

Perhaps to end the transmission of CFS in Canada, all Canadians with CFS should move to America.
