"The problem as I see it as that science has BECOME government. People dont vote because, increasingly, the major decisions that affect them are handed down as "science". Science has become symbiotic with the state, which essentially bribes scientists to give the answers it wants. It works extraordinarily well because no membber of the lay public can question those decisions because they dont have the training. Those who do have the expertise are trapped within it. There are massive disincentives not to do so. So democracy is dying. This is what my career in science has taught me."
