CFS has also been associated with immune dysfunction, especially with regard to natural killer (NK) cell function. Since the active infection may be playing a key role in CFS and the associated immune dysfunction, we wanted to study the effects of a transfer factor (TF) with activity for HHV-6 in CFS patients. 28 CFS patients were given a TF preparation derived from bovine colostrum that has activity against HHV-6.
